How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
"The programs and other operating information used by a computer."
Without the software below, the creation of my media products would of been impossible. Modern software and its technological advancements since computing began have developed drastically in recent years. The accessibility of such software has thus allowed me and countless others to create.
SOFTWARE
Word
Powerpoint
Prezi
Emaze
What is Software?
Windows Powerpoint was one of the most commonly used software programmes to appear on my research and planning blog. The programme was easily accessible on any mac and the files could be transported via memory card or stick if I had to continue them on a different Mac. The programmes appears on most modern software and is easy to use because of its simple yet detailed interface, allowing me to creative professional, innovative and appealing Powerpoint without the struggles of an over complicated interface.
Similar to Powerpoint, word is also a highly popular software programme which can be found and accessed on most devices. The programme allowed me to create a draft article for my double page spread and a contract for my model. The software was incredible simple to use and was very reliable in the creation and progression of my media product. I feel the software was very helpful and allowed me to create simple word documents which were easy to read and straight to the point.
Prezi, similar to Microsoft Powerpoint, allowed me to create creative and interesting slideshows to appear on my research and planning. The programme is online which meant I was able to access my work from anywhere in the world, this was incredibly helpful as it meant I did not have to backup everything I had completed to some form of external storage like a memory card or stick. The programme was quite advanced in comparison to Powerpoint although it allowed for a much more pleasing look and gave my work a look of professionalism. Similar to the other programmes, Prezi allowed me to show an advanced knowledge of contemporary media products, my ability to use them and embed the final files onto my blog.
Emaze was also a useful online programme used in the production of my media product . The online programmes was very similar to Prezi and Powerpoint although was slightly less reliable. The programme allowed for professional results which were easily embed onto my blog, allowing me to record my development to my final product.
Pinterest was a fairly simple online programme which allowed me to produce moodboard's using the sites vast range of different images available. Using the search tool I was able to find different magazine covers etc. Although a fairly simple programme, the site allowed me to determine my colour scheme for all of my products by searching for specific categories on the site and working out which colours were most prominent for each individual category. Embedding the moodboard was then the final step and presented a fairly professional and advanced looking moodboard.
Although Facebook as general did not play much of a vital role in my research and planning, the social media site did allow me to contact friends in relation to surveys and online questions. The sit was quick and easy to use and the direct messaging system meant the conversations were easy to record. The site is huge in number and thus has to be reliable to deal with the amount of online traffic, something I can also backup as the service was reliable for me when doing the surveys. Facebook was great for feedback and as a social media which I added to my products due to its high user ratings with my age group.
